How KilGen credits work
One balance, every model, no subscription required to start. What a generation costs, when you are charged, and what happens when one fails.
Every generation on KilGen is paid for in credits from a single balance. There is no per-model subscription and no separate wallet per provider — the same balance runs a cheap draft model and the most expensive video model.
What a generation costs
Cost is set per model, and video models additionally price by duration and resolution. The composer shows the exact figure before you press Generate, and it updates live as you change the controls. Nothing is ever charged at a price you have not seen.
Roughly: fast image models are the cheapest thing on the platform, flagship image models cost a few times that, and video is an order of magnitude above both. This mirrors what the providers charge us.
When you are charged
Credits are deducted at the moment the request is accepted and handed to the provider — after your balance, the model and the prompt have all been checked, and immediately before the provider call. That ordering matters: nothing can fail in between and strand your credits.
If the provider then fails, the credits are refunded automatically. You are not charged for our errors or theirs.
New accounts start with 50
Signing up grants 50 credits, enough to properly explore the image models and get a feel for a few presets. No card is required to claim them.
Why generation needs an account
Every generation spends real money with an upstream provider the moment it runs. An anonymous endpoint would be drained by scripts within a day, and the cost of that lands on everyone else. Browsing presets, models and pricing needs no account at all — only the act of generating does.
